Sustainability & Legality
A Forest We Intend to Keep
Sustainability isn't a marketing line for us — it's the only way a timber business built on Suriname's forests can survive for the long term.
Sustainable by necessity, not just by choice
Our operations depend on healthy, productive forest concessions. That means we harvest selectively, document everything, and reinvest in the forest that sustains our business.
Selective, Low-Impact Harvesting
We harvest mature trees selectively, respecting minimum diameter limits and leaving the surrounding stand intact to regenerate naturally.
Legal Compliance & Chain of Custody
Our operations follow the regulations of Suriname's forestry authority, and we track timber from standing tree to finished shipment so origin can always be verified.
Trade Compliance
For species subject to international trade controls, we pay close attention to CITES requirements and prepare the documentation our export markets require.
Forest Regeneration
We monitor harvested areas and support natural regeneration, so our concessions remain productive for future harvest cycles.
Legality & documentation
Every export shipment is prepared with the documentation international buyers and customs authorities require. We're happy to share our current compliance documentation on request during the quotation process.
Harvest & Origin Records
Concession, species and volume records maintained for every harvest.
SBB Regulatory Compliance
Operations aligned with Suriname's Foundation for Forest Management and Production Control (SBB) framework.
CITES Awareness
Export documentation prepared for any species subject to CITES permitting.
Phytosanitary Certification
Certificates arranged for each export shipment as required by the destination country.
Certification and membership logos can be added here once confirmed with the client.
